Hey all so the post is a little late but we've been fairly booked since getting here. As far as the show goes we took home three awards total. Alex took second in the top modded xb class, I took second in stock tc and class winner for the glow off. So scinergy made our mark here. Well were sitting in denny's right so I'm gonna go eat. Hope to hear from you all soon and see everyone next weekend.

You know there is something great about being able to post to scinergy IA while flying down the interstate at 80mph.

I just got back from Tulsa.  Steve just left after we divied the special Scikotics cookies given to us for the ride back home by Jaquetta (Bride of Frankenscion).  They are awesome.  I am in the process of transferring the 200+ pictures back to my computer as well as several short videos.  I will get the ones that turned out up sometime this week.

Asylum was the most fun I have had in a long time.  Saturday, we rolled to the parking lot (because of the threat of rain) at around 10:30-11:00 and started getting the cars cleaned up.  I think the final count was 57 cars at the show.  Lots of very nice cars and being inside made for a very nice light show.  They even had the Scion Events crew there with a new semi and several nice cars.

After the show, we got about an hour and a half to go back to the hotel and rest a little before the party.  As rain finally poured down, we sat inside (or anywhere with sufficient rain coverate) and ate some terriffic pizza, breadsticks, Scikotics cookies, and other goodies that were brought to the hotel.  And if we were thirsty, we had 4-5 coolers of various sodas as well as a keg.  Scikotics sure know how to throw a party.  We even let the other people staying in the hotel know we were there by setting off a few dry ice bombs.  Oops.

When the rain finally quit, we got to go outside and look at all the cars lined up in the hotel parking lot and start preparing for the Team LED light show.  A majority of the cars at the hotel had some sort of lights so it made for a very colorful evening as dusk turned to dark.  With lights flashing and music blaring, we drew a nice crowd of Scion lovers as well as numerious peeking out their hotel windows and pointing and people venturing onto balconies to see what was going on.

And just when we thought it was over with for the night, we decide to go cruising in downtown Tulsa.  It is a bit different than cruising in Des Moines.  We cruised down the streets with lights flashing and lots of revving.  We parked for a bit at a parking lot where we drew quite a bit of attention.  Even a cop stopped by (but let us stay because we had city permission...take that you fun-killer).  Then, the tC guys decided to go cruising on our own in a pack.  That was a very fun time.  Again, we drew lots of attention from fellow tuners and had a lot of people looking our direction.  Finally we went back to the hotel for a well deserved nights sleep.

Overall, that was one of the funnest shows I have ever been to and was more like a fun family reunion than anything else.  Good food, good friends, and good cars....what more can you ask for.  The drives went pretty quick, both going down and coming back up.  Hopefully, next year, we can get more people to make the trip down.  It was WELL worth it.

ya he pretty well covered. it was a great time and well worth the trip even with my lil incident at the show that im glad u left out.  i honestly believe cruising around tulsa after the light show was one of the best parts.  alex complained a little though sense he couldnt keep up with the TC's. haha jk we just chose to cruise a lil faster then normal but everyone survived so it was all good.

Yea, the cruising was fun.  I couldn't the believe the speed we were going on the tC cruise (though it wasn't really a cruise because we were going so fast).  The fact that we all stayed together as a group during that was just short of amazing.

I still think what Gered did was the most spectacular thing I've seen in a really long time!  Still, you got screwed buddy.

I had a really good time and was extremely proud of our team.

Thanks to all who went!

Another great thing about Scikotics....they have cookies.

I am sitting here at work twitching because I am going through Scikotic cookie withdrawal.  I NEED to get home to my small stash of cookies.  They are more addictive than crack.

Yeah, they dropped Sciko tC since nobody signed up for it.  Too bad too, free trophy!

i thought they said they would bump cars up if they thought they belonged.  figured they would have bumped up some of those.  i think i got bumped up from what i heard when they were judging my car which ment i had no chance...oh well i guess.  maybe they will get the judging figured out for next years show.

They bumped a couple of people like Brooks, but they didn't go nuts with it really.  The "class yourself" thing was a bit odd and for some reason they seemed to weight factory mods differently than aftermarket mods which was very strange, but that could've been my perception only.

I tend to have a slightly different outlook on the validity of different mods and it's kind of hard to explain.  If you really want to hear it, ask me at t a meet or show sometime.

Hi!  I put some pictures up in the gallery from Asylum '06.  They don't have Alex's witty captions, so you'll have to make do with mine.   Cheesy
