I created new chat it's an IRC chat that actualy we are going to use over the JAVA applet. So make sure you do have JAVA installed.

Yesterday couple of us ware talking about the new chat , how awsome it is etc lol......so i got thought to create like an UNITED CHAT . Meaning all scinergy chapters would be able to get in and chat with each other what do you think ? YES NO?  should we have ScinergyIA chat and Scinergy Chat seperated?

Just to give you an update on this, last time i created chat we ware using it for 10 days , after that not many people log in . I guess it wasn't an irc chat either, so thats why if we at least have all chapters in we could all talk

My dream is to get all together and everybody would have an state labeled on their nick name example Scion515-IA  or Scion515-CO etc

well i use irc all the time for gaming and what not and we could just go off of a server and have multiple channels.  for example have a #scinergy channel and then have all the subsets, #scinergyia, #scinergyIL, #scinergyKC etc.... just an idea but i LOVE IRC

I think i would have to then create subchannels but i dont think that networks will allow me to do that , remember there is always channel list and if i register all scinergyxx  that list would look wierd most likely i can get 2-3 registered but not more then that
+ i am very sure that not many people will use all chapter channels , they might but for now i think it wouldt be bad to create 1 and then see how that goes?

love the opinion and i am in the same state of mind for that one, is just that i guess if we see lots of votes on multiple channels then ill do it ..........if i see like 5-6-7-10 thats to small of a number.

or we could just have everyone use mirc.  that way it doesn't drain on the website

i would suggest mirc bc the problem with having java in site is that if you accidentally are erasing (via backspace) and the client reloads while your hitting back space it will automatically move your internet back WHICH SUCKS.  So i would suggest having everyone get a mirc client. and us set up a mirc server

Nah man mirc server is too much to think about lol, i know how that route goes once hacked and never again lol........

but yeah bitchx,mirc, and other stuff to user wouldn't be bad

In my opinion, I would like to see what is on the main Scikotics site with a chat going as soon as you come on the main page.  That way, you don't have to go into a seperate window to see who is on and talking, it is right there.  If people have to go into another window to see who is even logged into chat, let alone chatting...I think it will deter a lot of people.  Having it on the main page will allow more people to chat easily.

its not an bad idea to get that on first page , but remember not everybody has java on pc, or is able to login to chat, example of me when i am at work i can not login to chat at all because port 6667 is closed for irc.
Wish it would not be but it is.
What scikos are using is shoutbox sometimes that could slow the page down.

Ill try to make an small script that shows who is in chat. Can't promise that to do, since i am not that much of irc guy.
