I remember a few peoples asking me if I knew of any SE-R's in the area for sale. Well, one has shown up.

A friend of mine in M-town is selling his white Classic SE-R(It's a 92 if I remember right). He's asking $1200.00 for it but would probably take 1g. It's in decent shape but could probably use a little TLC. I know these cars and thier engines so if someone wanted it and needed help with anything, I'd be happy to help out.

It will probably sell quick so if your interested, let me know asap.

contact me if your interested.
Thanks
J

Dang.  I am on the lookout for a cheap AWD car for wintertime.  It would be a fun track car though.  After seeing Jason's when we went to Cedar Falls, I really like the looks of those cars.

They're great cars and for winter they are unbeatable. I'd actually take my SE-R over an AWD any day. they have a limited Slip front diff so in the winter they really are hard to get stuck.

I've got a set of snow tires for mine and I've pulled people out of snow banks before if that gives you an idea of how winter friendly they are.

SE-R's all had SR20DE's until 1999, the year the B14 body style ended and the current B15 style came to be. the SR20E was then continued until 2001 in the Sentra 2.0 SE. the B15 SR20 is a roller rocker engine. the earlier SR20's are not. The Current SE-R has a QR25DE.

No SE-R came turbo from the factory. You have to buy a JDM or UKDM engine. You can get a wicked turbo kit for the USDM NA'S from turbonetics for around $3,500.00. It's nice.

I've built them from the ground. They're easy to work on (once you know whats goin on with em)

Its too bad nobody wants to buy a motorcycle Then I would have money for a new toy and that would be a hella-fun track car.  (Or would your buddy want to trade the car and some cash for a motorcycle   )

On a side note, I got a chuckle out of your "easy to work on" comment.  Have you ever worked on a Mazda 12A or 13B engine?  Now those are easy to work on.  They have 3 moving parts! haha.

How do Sentra's handle in the snow?

Quote
white 91 se-r with 110,000 miles  5 speed.
The good:
Pacesetter Exhaust
High Flow Cat.
New cap, rotor, plugs and wires
New tires
No 5th gear popout

The bad:
car has some dents
few places of rust
The car starts to shake at high rpms i think its the the fuel injectors

I took this from an ad he posted back in 93 when he wanted to sell it. the miles are up I'm sure. I know it needs a little engine work but it's needed it since I met him 3 years ago and its still running good.

I doubt it is an actual silvia.  It is probably a conversion.
