I got a call from my local Nissan dealership Friday afternoon. One of the salesman said that a car broke down near here and it was brought in on a closed trailer. he didn't say what it was but told me I needed to hurry down.

Apparently I missed it by about 10 minutes because the trailer was pulling out as I pulled in but my friend managed to get one picture while it was there.

He said that none of the employees were allowed to look at it and when they opened the hood, no one was allowed in the area but the Nissan engineers. It was right hand drive and they heard that it was a V8. Apparently at some point the car suffered some kind of valve train damaged and after two hours of working on it they(the Nissan Engineers) decided it wasn't repairable in the facility and pushed it back onto the trailer and left.

Who knew Des Moines, IA would actually see one of these roll (unpowered) through here. The New GT-R baby!!!!!!!!!

Hey Hate?  Can you tell me what you know about it supposidly being a V8?  It should be a TTV6 under there.  My 350z forum is anxious to know.

Thanks!

No one was allowed in the service dept when the hood was opened but the rumor that was floating around was a single tV8

Basically.  Its the 350z motor stroked to 3.7 liters then twin turboed.
This is all we have heard so far...which is what made me curious about the V8 thing.

No, that's just Jason from TOD.  He changed his screen name to match all of the other boards he is on.  I think he has lots of friends at the Nissan store though.
