So I had some delicious Wendy's the other day for lunch and got a nice medium Dr. Pepper to get me through the afternoon... I only made it through about half of the soda and forgot all about it as I went through the day.  Evidently, the soda weakened the structure of the cup and as I leaned over the seat on the way home I put downward pressure on the straw...  The straw noiselessly forced its way through the bottom of the cup and proceeded to do what liquids do in that situation, drain until the level outside was even with the level inside.

I come out the next day to take my daughter to the doctor and what do I see?  The tC twin cupholder full to the brim with Dr. Pepper.  I was in a hellacious hurry so all I could do was stuff in 2 of my microfiber car washing towels and then clean the rest with a spritz of 90% water 10% cleaner mix I keep in the car.  For days my car reeked of Dr. P.

I had a similar situation with OJ. you know those pesky hy-vee thin foam cups. I had one full of Orange Juice and I went to pick up up from my cupholder, it sliped out of my hand and went down to my passenger floor. the lid didn't come off but the bottom of the cup separated from the rest of it. the cup was FULL before that happened.
At least my car smelled like oranges.

Good to hear it was your cup holders and not your fabric.

I have a Oreo Blizzard do that to me when I forgot it over a weekend. That wasnt fun at all!
