Apparently I have some kind of electrical short that keeps blowing the fuse for the taillights/cluster lights.  Had the shop cut out the trailer wiring harness (which looked pretty ghetto) and it still blew.  So I had them stop. 

I'll dink with it at home for a while on Thanksgiving and see if I can get it fixed.  If not, I'll just shove a penny in the fuse panel and...okay, maybe not such a good idea...

In any case, it actually runs pretty darn well.  Stops too.  Gotta weld up the driver's seat.  Bracket is kinda broken there and the seat flops a bit, okay a lot.  Also need to replace the front head unit.  It's a cassette and the antenna is screwed, as is the cassette player.  Actually thinking about keeping it as a cassette player though.  Could be awesomely ghetto.  Anybody got a GM double DIN lying around that works?

There's some other electrical stuff that could work better and I'm going to dive into that after I clean it up.  This will never be a resto job.  There's just WAY too much rust on the body.  But I think it will be fun for what I want to do with it.

I'm thinking we should wrap it actually.  That way the vinyl would keep all the rust holding together...

You should wrap it in fur so it'll be like a wolly mammoth comming down the road! as far as the fuses blowing, pull out the radio and check the wiring, GM and Ford have illumination wires behind the radio that if they aren't hooked up properly, will blow that fuse. And by the way, I'll keep an eye out fo a GM radio for you, it's actually a 1.5 DIN opening.
