I believe my 2005 Scion xB's power train is giving out.  My transmission whines very loudly and my engine has a rough idle.  Plus the xB is slow to move from a stop.  Are any of these problems covered under the power train warranty?  It has 43,000 miles in it.  If this is not covered under warranty will a 2006 Scion xB engine and transmission swap into my 2005?  I ask this question because there is an 2006 engine assembly with 11,000 miles for $850 that I can pick up at an auto recycling center in Omaha.

my suggestion is to get it into someplace soon to get it looked at, I don't remember what the power train warranty is...

Factory powertrain is 5yr/60k, so the trans noise should be covered there.  the bad news is that it only covers the "internally lubricated components" and your idle  issue is probably the Idle Air Control-valve, which is not part of the pt
