I am looking at adding xm to my 05 box with a stock headunit.  I want to know what I need and where to get it.  I have scoured online sources only to get mixed answers.  Ideally, I would like to just add a plug and play to the car and also use it at home/work, but I know that a tuner alone would prolly keep me in my budget of around 200.  Would it be just as effective to get a new headunit instead of adding the the stock one?  Any ideas?

I have an 06 with xm I will be honest I wish I had the portable one so that I could move from my car to my garage or work, as I am looking to get one for my wife and they are all about the same in price at least at what I looked at....for the portable ones that is, but mobility is important to me.

I have a brand new XM tuner unit from Scion to add it to your stock headunit.  It is the factory upgrade if you are interested.  I'm looking to get rid of it for fairly cheap.  Let me know.

Personally, I have a seperate Sirius unit that I really like.  Either way, satellite radio is amazing.  It is great for long trips.
