All the complaining reminds me of a story I heard from one of my dads car show friends. He has a near perfectly restored oringinal 55 (I think) Thunderbird. Trailers it everywhere, never been drivin since the restoration. Parks it on the concourse for a show. A bird craps on the windshield right in front of the judge while he is scoring the car. The judge saw it happen. That bird cost him 7 points for cleanliness.

Thanks everyone for coming and congrats to the winners!
You all are fantastic people!
Alex thank-you for your hard work and you are my hero!!!
I loved the judging!
If you showed up to "show" your car you got
good scores.
It separated the slackers from the workers!
I even told the whiners to watch the judges before they come around.
Thats why you don't roll in first!
Trophy mongers, don't need them at our shows!lol
Dash plaques next year and thats it!!!lol
Thanks again everyone and thanks for joining everyone after the show for
some damn good BWW. That was one big ass table we had!!!

Hey, Alex don't let the whining get you down, I was pleased to see that Goose Im sure I spelled it wrong from Chicago was defending the Judging, Both shows the most whining has been from the same group, just different names.  Hey, I will admit local people had one advantage, we've been judged by your criteria before, and know how important cleanliness is, so we take cleaning seriously, my car probably had 10 hours of cleaning total on it between the two days I worked on it, and the judges still found Dirt, I'll spend more time on those areas next time... It was a great show and I can't wait until next year!

Good pics Roy!  That's the first decent pic of my car all year!  How sad is that?

Well, things are on the right track now.  By Horberg's show it'll be a stunner again.

Good pics of the show Roy... Sorry we had to take off so abruptly, I wish we could have stayed longer, but I'm a new uncle twice over within the last 2 weeks and Erins dad was in town from North Carolina so we had to get on the road. It sucks that there is so much pissing and moaning over the judging, but you can't please everyone... I guess in  the Chicago area, its all about the money you spent and not the time or skill involved with the work. I've seen where people have commented about "the Illinois people" being crybabies, but please don't lump us all in that category!!! Wink I'm still unsure about my "re-classing", but whatever, I'll take the gas card! I don't know if anyone has complained about that whole deal, but it might not have hurt to give a little explaination as to why it happened so people didnt get pissed about it. I must say though, I feel some real pressure to get some new rims now since Im in the wild class now....  Grin

I know where you might be able to find a set of TRDs that need a little love and some new rubber... Grin

It was a good show.  I was very proud of the ScinergyIA members.  Our club had some of the cleanest cars out there.  Andy had Q-Tips too, name brand Q-Tips even not just Wal-Mart brand cotton swabs!  Intense.

There's been some bitching about my judging which is frankly quite discouraging to me.  It can't be helped, but I woke up with a sore back and sore legs from all the aerobics I had to do to properly judge these rides.  Hearing that I did a "horrible" job after that isn't fun.

Anyway, enough of my bitching.  Congrats to my clubmates especially Aaron, Roy, Stroh and Andy for their wins!  Thanks to all of you for such a great showing!

-Lando

I seen the q-tips and thought to myself I could use some of thoose next time.

Good pics!  Thanks!

Yeah, Andy is moderately crazy, but so is Robin so neither of them notice.  Just don't let him take the cork off of his fork at the dinner table if you're in that situation.
