Kia Soul xB Competitor?

Duno I just saw this Kia Soul and I do see it as good competitor to xB...what is your thought?

We stopped at a dealership and looked at one. It looks very cheaply built. I personally think it doesn't have the uniquness to truly be a competitor. It will go more up against other small SUVs.  I don't like it.  Now the Nissan Cube.......

I can't remember who did it but one magazine put the Soul, cube and 2GxB against each other for a test. The Kia actualy won out over the other two but only because of a few features.

I personally think that Kia Took the design cues from the xB and Accentuated them.

It has a cool look, no doubt, but the problem is it is still a Kia and I have less than zero confidence in them to make a stable car that will last more than a year or two before developing rattles and other problems that shouldn't be there on a newer car.

For initial impact it really is pretty cool, but I don't trade cars every year so I'm out.

If I get my hands on one to test I'll be sure to report.  Same goes for the Cube (which, incedentily is going for a couple grand more than xB with similar equipment).

i don't know.  i don't think it has the same impact as either the first or second gen xB. It reminds me more of the early rav4  and up close the cheapness just radiates from it

wanted to test one yesterday but most dealershipts were closed by 6pm ....n'ways I don't think it's that great of a car...
