Is curtis a brand or someone on the forum that makes hitches?  I think I might just make one.

After work the other day, I noticed some wires from under the rear bumper were disconnected and dragging on the ground behind my xB.
Anyone know what these are for?

(All my lights and wipers, etc still work...)

Could you follow the wires to anything?  It's weird that everything still works. Alex or Jason. Any suggestions?

Only thing that stands out right away would be side marker wiring. That is really the only wire that I know of that would be in that area.....

Are both of your markers still working? Maybe the clamps broke that holds the wires up and it's just dangling?

I had a giant hunk of snow under my rear bumper.  kicked it too hard and now my driver's side rear side marker isn't working.  I would imagine that is prolly what you got too.

Same thing has happened to me.  The plug comes loose.  You may need a new plug end if it dragged accross the asphalt to the point where it is mushed.
