Ok I know that we just had the February meet, but time to start thinking about the next one.  here is a suggestion, but it will take an accurate head count, and some planning.

How about one of the Restaurants in the Amanas, nothing like a good family style meal.  We could do the Ox Yoke, or the Colony in in Main Amana or something like that.  Let me know opinions, we would need to make some kind of a reservation to do this so post up your thoughts and possible dates...

I would LOVE to go to the Old Amanas. OxYoke doesn't really count (personally) as Amana but if we got into Lower Amana or Amana, that would be a SWEET idea.

I'm talking about the original Ox Yoke in main amana. Not the one by the interstate. The rel Ox Yoke

My folks took me to the Brick Haus (or something like that) once and it was pretty darn fantastic (there were two kinds of sauerkraut with dinner!).  Parking wasn't awful from what I remember either and it isn't summer now so it should be relatively dead.

The 14th and 21st are best for me.

...and a quick google search reveals that the Brick Haus has closed now.  Odd, it seemed to have been there a very long time.  I wonder if somebody died.

We really like the Colony Inn, but have also had very good food at Ox Yoke, both are delicious..

I also really enjoyed the Ronneburg. I'm game for pretty much anything as I've never had a bad eating expierience in the colonies.

I'm also good for both the 14th and 21st.

It would be cool to go a little earlier to be able to enjoy the colonies as a whole and check out some of the shops.

Well, I'm thinking the 21st is the best of those dates for us.  We will possibly be out of town on the 14th.  so unless anyone has any problems with that I'm calling it the 21st for the date, now to nail down restaraunt.  for this meet we will need an exact in stone head count so we can try to set up a reservation.  so lets start a roll call starting now.

Ok anyone else interested in this?  after asking around I believe that the Colony Inn in main amana is our best shot for a place eat.  come on people sign up!  We need an exact count for this to work.
