I don't know, I had it done quite a while back and it made a huge difference, I never have a problem with it now, would be worth asking the dealership.

Is this still in effect?

I hadn't been having much trouble with it, but we moved and the nearest gas station I have a hard time with, sometimes if I get the nozzle set right it will fill, sometimes not.

TSB are always in effect. (until your warranty is up)  They sometimes update them if the parts they changed didn’t fix the problem.  If your VIN is one listed, I would take it to have them fix it before you're out of your warranty.

The tC;s dont have that little gate in the opening of the filler neck. I just hold the nozzle and squeeze fuel until the tank is topped off....i.e when I can see the gas at the top of the neck.

JSYK, and this is for everybody, not just Matt because I know LOTS of people do this, filling your fuel tank up into the fuel neck isn't the best of ideas.

When you do this there is a chance that fuel can get into the charcoal cannister.  When that happens it will trip the CEL and you need to replace the cannister.

This isn't something that happens all at once, but repetition of filling the tank that full over the course of several years will harm the charcoal cannister.

Your best bet is to fill the tank until the pump shuts off and then round the price off to whatever (if you're paying cash) or just stop (if you're paying credit).  By not filling the neck you are only shorting yourself about a quart of fuel tops (probably less) and you will prolong the life of your car.

And that's one to grow on!
