Well, second time typing all of this, wish me luck!

As promised, here's the information I have come up with on the big 3.0 show here in Ames.  First, let me start with some background on the show for those who are unfamiliar:

The ScinergyIA/Wilson Scion All Scion Show is our big event.  This is the only show that we put on as a club and we have already had great success with the first two.  We have never charged admission to the show, have always provided lunch for everyone there, and have always come up with cool prizes for the winners as well as sweet random giveaways during the day.  This is OUR event as a club and it is very important that we always make a good showing.  Attendance from club members has never been mandatory, but that may change with this event.

Although many elements of the 3.0 show will be the same as in the last two, there will be some major differences.  Primarily, it will be BIGGER.  This will now be a national invitational event.  I will personally invite every club I can find from across this country and possibly Canada too.  I expect 100-150 Scions here for the show.  Also, this will be a 3 day event much like MITM.  Here's my itinerary for the moment:

Friday, May 5th:
6pm-Whenever= Roll in at a local Ames bar and grille to meet and greet fellow owners from everywhere.
9pm= Judging for the best "Night Ride" award by our judges (who will be named later, probably MUCH later).  This will be a single award for the ride that puts on the best show in the dark.
10pm= Award presentation to the "Night Rider"

Saturday, May 6th:
10am-4pm= All Scion Show at the Wilson lot in Ames.  This will be a judged competition with multiple classes and really cool prizes at stake.  As usual we will do several awards based on mods, cleanliness, etc as well as best xA, xB, and tC.  There will be some cool surprises and some special "promoter's choice" awards that will carry great prestige.
4pm= Award presentation with great fanfare and HUGE trophies.
5:30pm= Scenic drive to Des Moines that will take us through Ledges, across Saylorville Dam (NO FISHING ON THE WAY JOE!!), and along the river.
6:30ish= Dinner with our extended Scion family in Des Moines.

Sunday, May 7th:
8am= Historic drive down Lincoln Highway for those interested.
Noonish= Good-bye lunch with friends new and old.

That's about all I have laid out for now.  Certain details like the exact nature of the prizes, classes, judges, and events are still way up in the air.  The only thing I can promise on those subjects is fairness and coolness just like always.  We will likely have a few vendor booths at the show from some local companies and maybe some media coverage too.  Scion is giving us excelent support already and I would expect them to continue to do so.

This will be an epic event and I'm VERY excited.  If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.  All updates will be posted in this thread as they become known.

In any case, MARK YOUR CALENDARS and BE THERE!!

Can't wait Alex,  I plan on taking pretty much the whole week off to help with prep on the show if you need it Alex, at least I'm sure I can take Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat off.

Oh one question, with a show that big will the Wilsons lot be big enough?

Hey Alex....let me know if I can help with anything. I didn't take any vacation this year so I'm due for some time off. I'd be willing to go the extra mile to help out.

Thanks for the offers guys!  When the time draws closer, I'm certain that I'll tap you all for help with things.  However, if I plan everything right, the event should run itself pretty well.

Danny Wilson has committed to CLEARING the front lot for us to fit all of these sweet rides.  He really does believe in us people!

I know I mentioned it elsewhere, but another new thing I will start this year is releasing the judging criteria and possibly the list of judges 2-4 weeks BEFORE the event.  This will ensure that everybody will have the same chance of getting their car ready for the show.

Okay, that took me an hour to write with the interuptions.  I'm stopping now.

Well, keeping you guys updated:

I have emailed or PM'd almost every President or other head of every Scion owners' club that I can find including the heads of all the Scinergy chapters (curse Roy for changing his email, it was the only one that came back to me!  Yes, I know it wasn't your fault  ).

I have also contacted Darren from SL about posting up there.  I have only contacted Nilo from Scion Evolution and Jon from Scikotics and not their chapter heads as of yet.  Depending on their response, I may or may not contact their individual chapter heads.

Let's hope this is the beginning of something really BIG!
