I just got thinking while at work today (I know, a dangerous thing to do while at work) and was wondering if any posters/fliers had been made up to advertise the show.  If so, I would be more than willing to plaster them up all over Des Moines to get a bigger turnout for Scion owners as well as spectators.  Just a thought.

You should be fine at Raccoon River.  It's a restaurant too so no biggie.  Cass is in your same boat still too.


Other news:  We will actually have something to give away for Best of Show now.  I have the big trophy about 80% or so done!  Um, did I mention that a 20 ft plus tall trophy is probably a bad idea?  Yeah, it has been kicking my butt.  I only bled once though.  Big thanks to Leia for helping me out with it!

Also, I am personally sponsoring the "responsibility room" on Friday night.  I'm buying a room at the Grandstay Suites that people are welcome to use as they sober up from our activities at Old Chicago.  Let's try hard not to wreck the joint, okay?  That hotel is literally attached to the Old Chicago so no driving will be necessary if you've had too much.  Now, I can't fit everyone in that room, but I'm sure we could fit in several for a few hours or whatever.  Cool?

The hair show got cancelled so Nick, you can cut it if you want to!  Sorry about that, but the guy punked on me.  Oh well.

Shirt prices are going to be lower now too since Scion is footing some of the bill for them.  Big thanks to Mark Olson.  Tentative price on the shirts is like $7 until we run out.

Bill has sent me some license plate covers with the ScinergyIA logo on them.  They're made from heavy card stock and we can BlueTape them over our plates if we want.  Should work well.

There's probably more, but I have no idea what.

So i made plans like a month ago to come to this event, and now i have to go to florida this weekend...huge bummer. THERE IS STILL AN UPSIDE THOUGH! My car will still be there, i am being sponsored by Best Buy and they will be taking my car to the show! I wish i could be there in person but I guess this will have to do! Hope everyone has a good time!

As Alex mentioned, I sent him the license plate covers. Hopefully the majority made it safely through the mail! There are 40 sets, so there should be plenty for all the Sciowa peeps.

They have the Scinergy IA logo on a black background. They're printed on 140# card stock so they are pretty stiff, but I'm planning on putting mine behind covers to protect them and keep them from flapping around in the wind. I got really simple clear covers at Advance Auto for $4 a piece.

Right now they don't have rounded corners, so you'll need to cut them down when you get them. I have little scissors on my multitoool that I can pass around on Saturday morning to anyone that needs. The plates also don't have holes so you'll need to punch those too. All this stuff should be easy to do using your license plate as a template.
